Reviews of Galveston Bay RV Resort & Marina
Once you wind your way along narrow residential roads and a short stretch of very bumpy private drive you find a very nice RV park. Interior roads and sites are concrete. The layout is easy to maneuver and takes advantage of the location directly on the Dickinson Bayou. The utilities, including Wi-Fi , are very good. AT&T phone and data signals are available in the area. Office, bathrooms, laundry, and pool are well kept. The office closes at 2 PM on the weekends but on site staff is friendly and available to help. The cost stated is the weekly rate. We would stay here again. - never settled
I wish I could rate this place a zillion stars!!! Love it here. As of recently they have added new additional large campsites. They are in the process of adding yet another fishing pier. This will be followed by a large party deck and adults only infinity pool overlooking the bay. There are little tiki hut set up all over the place for viewing the sunset, fishing, drinking some wine, or just relaxing and taking in the water view. There isn't a campsite anywhere around that can come close in my opinion. Great ownership, great management team, spacious sites, ultra friendly residents. This park has the best of it all and is constantly getting better!!! - Consuela
Beautiful park with spacious sites. Friendly staff. Great views. Cement slabs were large and level. Only problems: If you are traveling in a motor home or RV there is no propane delivery service. No one in the area delivers to the Campground. You will need to drive to the nearest propane dealer. We decided to use the metered electric for the month we were there. A little more expensive. - rockies
|Certainly off the beaten path and that's nice. We stayed by the little lake and there are bay side sites that look nice too. Be sure to read the driving directions on the web site to get here. A day time arrival is recommended if it's your first time, like another review stated. It's at the end of a very dark road if you arrive at night, you will be questioning your GPS and looking for a turn around point when all of a sudden... Boom! there it is. Huge concrete pads with all kinds of room for parking. Nice and quiet with lot's of cool birds. Be sure to look for the little green parrots. We'll definitely be back. One of the most peaceful enjoyable RV spots we've visited. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.|
My wife and I almost picked a different RV park in the Kemah/Texas city area after reading a bad review. We stayed
for five weeks and found it to be the cleanest, quietest and
safest resort ever. The waterfront is truly tranquil and one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in years. The wild parrots and coastal birds made our stay one to remember. We caught fish
almost every time we tried off the lighted pier and in the marina area.
Another nice thing is the proximity to both Galveston beaches(10min) and the Kemah Boardwalk(5min)!
Management was friendly and really cool,as they go out
of their way to make it a place to return.
Thank you Galveston bay,we will be back!
I'm a current resident and am very appauled to read the "negative" reviews which iwrodrigues has posted several times on this site. And yes she is correct in the management change, this is the 3rd mngt.that has come aboard since I have lived here. Not only have they come into this with great ideas for change and enhancements they have made numerous upgrades to the resort. The ammenties and facilities are CLEAN! Sounds to me that there may have been change for residents when NEW MNGT. came in. This RV Park and Resort, which by far is a very attractive and waterfront living that you can't just find anywhere.
So my hats off to the new owners & management we wish you all the best of luck in the RV World. There's always that one bad apple out of the bunch (unhappy resident) but were here to stay and happy!
